Hey! So is this a glitch? Or should I do it? The Planta app is scheduling 5 of my plants to be watered everyday in June. My azaleas, Hydrangeas, cherry plum, raspberries and jasmine. I think the rest are on the same schedule as they were. I don’t want to overwater the plants, is this right?

The only one I’d say is correct is your raspberries, since if they’re fruiting they need to be keep consistently moist to aid in fruit production. The rest, no way, lol. Planta is on a mission to destroy every plant scheduling that. All your other ones, need to have dry soil at least two inches deep before you give them a drink, better to have dry roots than waterlogged roots, can usually revive a dehydrated plant rather than a rotting plant. Hope this helps!

I use the app as a reminder incase I forget I don’t use it to tell me when . There’s no way an app can know your plants growing conditions so it can’t tell you when to water . My humidity \& light is not going to be the same as others so I may need to water more or less often . I’d stick with your gut if it doesn’t feel like it needs it then skip it .

I have a similar situation. It tells me to water my basil plant every other day! I’ll check the soil and it’s still very wet. So I changed the schedule manually to be less frequent

I would reset the reminder based on when you water next that way you can keep track of how long it took between watering. Obviously weather can make a difference but it should give you a good idea .

Yep exactly. Right now, I have it set to remind me every 5 days, but I’ll see if it even needs it that often.

I’m wondering the same. I have 2 new perennials planted in the ground outside and it is recommending watering every day in June. We’ve had a lot of rain this week so I’m just watching the soil and using it as a recommendation.
