My friend gave me a Wandering Jew about 2 years ago. I had it in bright indirect light. It started producing green and purple leaves. It no longer produces striped leaves. Everything I have read says that is a light issue. It also says it can’t turn into another plant. Thoughts. I took the top off and replanted the striped leaves.

Could there have been two separate plants in the pot?

Problem solved! My friend came over and said she may have put two different plants in there!

Yes, if they dont have enough light they get very leggy and revert to green to save and generate energy. I keep most of mine directly in windows and they stay dark purple or striped- that is healthy and happy. The ones that are not in windows do a little of purple and green with a grow light a foot away. My prop station is in windows and those usually stay purple or give good striping. Try to adjust the lighting.
