# Hello everyone! I was given this dying plant and she didn’t know what…

Hello everyone!
I was given this dying plant and she didn’t know what it is, I don’t know what it is.
Does anyone on here have a general idea of what it might be?
Any recommendations on what to do moving forward with it would be greatly appreciated. Some parts of it are better than others, but it’s still green under the brown and it has new leaves coming in.

I think it looks like a Ficus, probably a Ficus benjamina or weeping fig; I am basing this on the leaf shape and growth habit.

If I am correct, these plants generally prefer bright, indirect light and need to be watered only after the soil has become dry.
Your plant is currently supported by a trellis to help manage its climbing or weeping growth pattern so pending on its growth rate, it may have to be upgraded in the future but it seems good now 😉
Weeping figs thrive in warm indoor environments but are sensitive to sudden temperature changes or drafts. Good luck; she looks good, maybe just a little shocked.
