OK, so no laughing, but I always get confused at this. lol. If I'm looking out my front window the direction is Southwest. So does that mean it's a southwest window or would it be a north east window because the sun is coming in at it heading to the northeast.

The direction you’re facing when you look out tells you the window’s direction— so if you’re facing southwest, it’s a southwest-facing window
