I’m sorry to say but with any plant that has pigmentation other than green it’ll end up dying quicker. Any leaf with a good mix is okay but unfortunately you can keep a pink leaf but in the long run I recommend cutting it off. But take as many pictures when they do show up ofc! ;)

Leaf by leaf case for this. Give plenty of light to make up for the lack of chlorophyll on the more pink leaves will do the plant good. You can supplement with a grow light if you have them.

Yes for sure I’m meaning to say a full pink leaf is more likely to brown than a mixed leaf ofc. I’ve heard from everyone who owns one it’s pretty but it’s healthier to cut

Yeah I’ve read if the plant has plenty of green, it can keep itself sustained as long as it has plenty of light. I have it in a north slightly north east facing window. I’ll keep an eye on it and will add a grow light if I feel it’s not coping well.

I would put in an east window if you have one. It’ll get the morning sun which isn’t super harsh but get the light it needs. North doesn’t give actual sunlight on the plant.

I wouldn’t cut off the leaves unless you have reason to believe they’re detracting from plant health. Fully pink leaves are uncommon and the plant wouldn’t be putting resources into sustaining a leaf if it weren’t doing its job in some capacity. Plus if you got her for the pink leaf you want to see the pink day-to-day.

I’d say make sure she has good light, well-draining soil, and appropriate nutrients. You can try gradually increasing her light over time (like moving her closer to a window or grow light) to find a sweet spot for pinkness.

Thank you again Kendall. Your advice is so helpful 😊
