# How does this site know how to give advice when there’s no input…

How does this site know how to give advice when there’s no input like, what zone you’re in. I live in Florida and if I didn’t water more than recommended my plants would die.

It knows zones, it tells me up here in 8A I believe I’m in(NC) when it’s hotter and that I might need to water my plants extra! Maybe make sure your location is on so it can determine your zone. Also, make sure notifications are on as well!

At the top of the Home Screen of Planta, You’ll see bubble info tabs! Scroll the the end and click on customize this feed and you should be able to turn your location on so it’ll put you into your designated zone and keep you up to date about extreme temps and weather!

I see where the location is missing but there’s nothing for adding it

You just have to enable location sharing, once you do that, click on your personal icon/ Profile picture and you can select the exact location!

I have everything turned on including notifications

Go to the plant section 🌱 and click on the person image/icon. It’ll open up your profile where you can set your location
