What are these on my heart leaf philodendron? I was thinking new leaves, but they eventually turn brown and crispy (photo in comments)

Also is this coloring normal or is she sick?

Color is normal for a new leaf.

Yes, it's a leaf sheath. And I agree the color is normal for a new leaf.

Yes it’s just there to protect the new leaves when they’re growing but doesn’t provide any use after that, I usually pluck them off so they don’t fall off later in unwanted spots

I just don’t see any new leaves anywhere near those sheaths. I’ll take another picture later to show you what I mean. I guess maybe the leaves fell off before the sheath. I just put a climbing pole in the pot to hopefully help spread the “limbs” out and help it? As you can tell I don’t really know what I’m doing lol!

I can see this little brown spot is where the leaf used to be, it must have fallen off
