Ive gotton this plant a few weeks ago as it was not in well- the nicest condition. tho im not exactly sure what these parts are?. are they normal for this kind?

looks healthy to me! gorgeous plant!

Those are part of the roots; some of the ferns in this family get fuzzy. The roots on them also tend to trail along the surface instead of growing deep, so a wide shallow pot style works well for them
