# I’m relatively new to plant care and I’m on the high functioning side…

I’m relatively new to plant care and I’m on the high functioning side of the autism spectrum. I really find a lot about it that soothes some of my symptoms! Sensory stimulation, patience and calmness etc. I can really see getting obsessed with these plants and overloading my collection! Anybody else on the spectrum and know what I’m saying there?

Oh yes! I also find looking at them to be calming. Especially in the winter when it’s gross outside and they are lovely \& green 💚 🍃 🪴

Studying their unique individual details and development can consume hours for me!

I am not on the spectrum, but my daughter is. She is so obsessed with plants that she has made it her career.

I’ve thought of looking into work at a local nursery or something! I could see enjoying that sort of thing…

In the beginning, she got a job at Lowe’s in the garden center. She loved it!
