# I just got this plant from the sale section, it says it’s a dracaena…

I just got this plant from the sale section, it says it’s a dracaena ray of sunshine 🌞 I’m not sure if I should repot this/ just put more soil on top??  
The roots are growing wild!

I would repot it to the next size. It looks like it’s in a 6 inch pot now, and an 8 inch is the next size. It looks healthy and should flourish.

Dracaena typically can handle being root bound, but it would certainly flourish more if repotted. Also just to note, they are known to have aerial roots, so don’t be too alarmed by that if they grow above the soil again.

It needs a whole new pot, 2-3 inches bigger.
