# Any recommendations on where to place plants if an air return is near…

Any recommendations on where to place plants if an air return is near the window with the best sunlight? I live in an older home and my air return is right in front of the window. If I keep plants near there the moisture in the soil dries out like crazy.

If it’s a hanging plant possibly on a ceiling hook a good enough distance from the air return but still in bright indirect light. Preferably an east facing window and if it’s a big floor plant same thing.

It’s difficult to say without seeing the location and the direction the window faces.

My recommendation without seeing the location is to get a grow light. You can move the plant anywhere with a good grow light.

An alternative is to put the plant in a self water pot.

You can also grow the plant hydroponically, full time in water. There are many kits if you want to transfer from soil to water. 🪴🍀

Mine are right in front of an air return. Planta will adjust watering schedules, just test the soil all the time, the day they are dry water and record it. Planta will adjust for the next watering.
