I’ve seen people get plastic containers with covers, or wrap larger ones in a cone-like shape using paper. As long as you can secure them so they don’t fall over, shake too much, or get smashed they should do just fine. Let me see if ai can find some pics for you.

Thank you!!!! I am hoping to have them in one car I only had three when we moved here so they fit in the front seat 😅

I’m struggling to find pictures of what i’m trying to explain but i’ll try to go into more detail 🤦‍♀️😂. I’ve seen people take plastic wrap and wrap it around the pots circling the base of the stem to secure the soil and avoid falling out. You could also stuff with cotton and wrap, but plastic wrap works great by itself and is much more affordable.

Packing paper or that flexible cardboard stuff wrapped around taller plants will keep the branches from jumbling around. Vines can be gently wrapped around and the same ideas applied.
I’m not sure what size your props are but i’d say just securing them in boxes with a closed lid would fine as long as they don’t get smashed.

I wouldn’t worry about them all too much just make sure they don’t get smashed.

In a recent podcast episode on June 4 of Growing Joy with Maria, she talks about moving with plants, if you want to give it a listen. Good luck with your plants and your move!

Hey darling, all good ideas above so this won’t be about plants but more about you. This will be a trying experience for sure so please try not to panic, just breathe because you will get it all done. In the meantime, make sure it’s pleasant for YOU first! So when you look back it’ll be a fond adventure to talk about even with all the stress involved. Wishing you and your family a safe journey 💚

You are very welcome. Life gets crazy and sometimes we forget ourselves when trying to make things right. Don’t let anything get in your way. It will be amazing! Wait till you get to Fl then have a good cry because you did it. 😉

Hard to tell here, but this is how we moved our plants recently. Wide shallow boxes with corrugated cardboard surrounding the plants and lots of tape to make sure nothing budged. No casualties 😅

We didn’t have space for all of my plants so I gave away some of my larger ones and chopped and propped my pothos and adansonii monstera and kept baby pileas I could replant when we arrived. Then to make up for it, I bought a bunch off my wishlist once we were settled and my jungle is now bigger than ever 🪴🍃🪴

This is how I transported some that I was giving to my bestie. There’s a bunch of tissue paper that I taped onto the pot to hold the dirt in. The rest is just random papers I was going to feed to my worms. I put chopsticks in to help support/prevent squashing. They were in a dollar store plastic tray and then a paper bag. Successfully made it for a 9 hour ride (and a week of waiting) before being unpacked. You’ve got this!
