# Sharing a simple setup in case anyone will be away from their plants…

Sharing a simple setup in case anyone will be away from their plants for a week or has extra thirsty ones 🌿

I used a large storage bin as a water and plant food reservoir, then stacked two cookie cooling racks inside to create a raised platform. I added longer strings to all of my wick lines so they reach down into the water below, allowing the plants to pull up moisture as needed. It basically turns the bin into a giant bottom-watering system without the pots sitting directly in water.

I haven’t left yet, but I wanted to test it ahead of time to make sure my plants would be happy and that everything works as intended.

Just throwing this out there for anyone who needs a temporary solution for travel or busy weeks. My thirsty plants needed something reliable, and this has been working really well so far.
