# I repotted this peace lily domino in mid August. I've read that they…

_Gepostet von Lowell Haus am 2024-11-16_

I repotted this peace lily domino in mid August. I've read that they can go into shock after repotting, but it's now been months and no change. I water her when she needs it, and each time I cross my fingers that she'll come back to me but nothing ever happens. She's one of my best girls and I miss her. I included some pics from before she drooped, and as you can see she was glorious. How long does the shock usually last? Will she ever recover? I know she's not dead bc there's no yellowing or browning leaves, and her budding spathes even hung around for a while. I'm tempted to pot back downa size, but I don't want to start the recovery process all over again. I'm worried it was too early to repot or that she maybe doesn't like the soil I used. Like maybe it dries out too fast or something. Does anyone have any advice? Please help!

Repot shock is temporary and will recover eventually.

Have u ever thought about having her live in water? I have a big one that lives in water and she LOVES life. She is constantly pushing out new flowers AND u won’t have to watch her droop any more when she’s thirsty! Lol. I post a few pics in a minute…..

Never thought of this. That could work. Thanks!

This was Feb ‘24. The day I took her out of soil. Since this time, she has doubled in size and given me 7 flowers, sometimes two at a time. And it’s so pretty to display. Good luck!

I wouldn’t think it’d still be in shock this long, unless it was unhappy with something. You could try adding a humidifier if you think it’s drying out a bit too fast? My peace lily also lives in water so I’m not a huge help.

has she grown any flowers in between?

No help here, but soooo much compassion! Imagine my lack of knowledge-I didn't know plants went into shock when repotting! 😢 The first thing I did when purchasing a new plant... new pot .. new soil. Stupid plant Mom!
