What is this yellow spot?!? I'm losing my mind! Last time this happened, it grew bigger until the whole leaf rotted. So I repotted and pruned, and she's been happy for over a month. Until I noticed a new spot?!? 😭 What am i doing wrong???

Did you move it? It looks like the very beginning of root rot or a lighting issue.

Actually Snake Plants like soil that has a lot of drainage, mine is in cactus soil and I added a little perlite to that. They also like the soil to be completely dry before watering.

So you think there's a possibility it's merely over-watering? It'd make sense... I really only had problems with this plant ever since I started following Planta's watering schedule for it. Maybe every two weeks is excessive, especially given how humid it is in the room. Maybe I'll start watering just once a month?

Don’t use a schedule! Check to see if the soil is totally dry before watering 😄 Think about what impacts watering need - light is one factor, and variable weather could change the amount of light your plant gets at any given time! Best to check the soil rather than stick to a schedule (but if you want to use a schedule to remind you when to check it for dryness, that works)! I hope that’s helpful!

Yes and to be frank, I experienced the same. I lost my Bird of Paradise, Majesty Palm, and my Fiddle Leaf to the app’s schedule when I first joined. I would wait 15-20 days before watering again, let the soil dry out. Keep snoozing until the soil is dry and the app will continue to adjust. Also if you just repotted she’s probably still acclimating.
