Hi there planters!
I’m a little worried about my guy here. The soil and chips look a little…. Grey 😬 Thoughts? Should I be worried
I’ve included where it is in the room (it is cloudy this morning)

I can’t tell for sure but it looks like it’s outgrown its pot. I’ve repotted and transplanted my ZZs twice and they did really well. Planta says 1-2” larger pot than what it’s in now.

It’s possible your water is changing the color of those wood chips. I’d put it somewhere it gets a little more son for a few days and see what happens! I don’t think that pot looks too big, but that’s just my observation. If the roots are taking up more than 50% of the space in that pot, THE. repot it! The only alternative is to pick off and throw away those chips if they look ugly to you haha

The wood chips might just be faded from normal watering and sun exposure. But if you haven’t refreshed the soil in a year or two might be time too otherwise it’s most likely just cosmetic.
