# Heeelllllppppp! My husband got me this plant for Valentine’s Day and…

Heeelllllppppp! My husband got me this plant for Valentine’s Day and it does not love it here. 😭 at first I thought it was a watering issue, it’s in a self watering pot (with a wick). But now I’m thinking it’s a sunlight or humidity problem. I’ve moved it to the bathroom in hopes that it will enjoy more humidity and lower light. Any help is appreciated

How close is it to the window? How much sun? It looks like a bit of humidity problems… I am not super familiar with this plant, but does Planta state it likes more sun or less?

Calathea are notoriously difficult plants. They are finicky and I’ve never had luck. Having said that, may be a humidity issue. I would try adding a pebble tray to increase humidity.
