# trying to save my asparagus fern, are these brown roots normal or are…

trying to save my asparagus fern, are these brown roots normal or are they rotted, they don’t have any particularly bad smell but my plant is yellowing and was in a pot without drainage and was soaking so i repotted into a smaller pot that has a drainage hole, but i love this plant and don’t want it to die

those roots look ok to me! if the ones you’re worried about aren’t soft or squishy, you’re good

I have a plant just like yours, and she turns yellow when she doesn’t get enough fertilizer. If I fertilize her adequately, and, she likes it often, she turns a beautiful, dark shade of green; just lovely! She is one of my sweethearts, 🥰. Hope this helps. Good luck!
