Here is a harrowing tale of a defected pot…long ago when I was still learning plant care spells, I bought a connected pot/saucer combo. I planted my beloved pearls and jade pothos within it before checking if the drainage worked. I watered and cared for it and only saw a tiny trickle of water come out every once in awhile. I just thought the poor thing was thirsty lol. Unbeknownst to me, the pot and saucer were almost glazed shut around the drainage hole and the soil filled in the rest. My pothos was sitting in a root rot witch’s brew for a week until I rescued it from the cauldron and found the problem. Only one cutting survived to tell the tale….👻🪦💀🌱

The alocasia owners despair: I had a lovely black velvet alocasia that I loved dearly. His name was Alfie. I wanted to give Alfie a better life in semi hydro so I started the process of transformation. Everyday his leaves looked more yellow and by the time I looked at the roots they were a giant ball of mush! 😱 I cleaned the roots up, there were barely any left.. hoping he could recover I put him back in semi hydro but he slowly shriveled into nothing. To this day I can feel his presence scorning me.  
It took me months to recover (find a replacement)

Once upon a Time, I bought my first Thai constellation Monstera. I was so scared I was gonna kill it. Things were going well, until I was bottom watering it and…. I forgot to take it out of the tray of water for two days!😫  
When I realized what had happened I quickly took it out, hoping that it would be okay.  
But I smelled Rot!😱  
And then to my horror, the leaves started turning brown!😖  
I actually don’t know what to do. (this happened a week ago.)  
If anyone has any advice that would be helpful!😊  
Anyway, my beautiful Thai Con Monstera was ROTTING!😭😱😭

Oh noes! So this is an on going horror story?! Have you had the chance to repot it? And how much light does it get?

It gets bright filtered light in my living room with my other monsteras and the lady I got it from said that I shouldn’t need to repot it for awhile.  
I honestly don’t know what to do next.😅  
I have it on the right watering schedule now, but the leaves still keep turning brown.
