# New plant mom here, need some help! My plant root is growing…

New plant mom here, need some help! My plant root is growing sideways, should I cut them or leave it alone? Or what should I do with them ?

It’s an aerial root. It’s up to your personal preference what you want to do. You can leave it, direct it back into the soil, or cut it off. If you do cut it, it will just grow right back though 😂

As your plant grows make sure you tie the stems and roots to a pole or trellises because those roots can eventually dig into your walls or floors. Good luck!
