# Not sure if this leaf is dying, or if there is a cure to get it back…

_Posted by Scott’s Plants on 2024-06-23_

Not sure if this leaf is dying, or if there is a cure to get it back to its healthiest step. At the base of the stem, it looks very dehydrated but the rest of the plant is thriving, and looks amazing.

I’m new to the plant game, so anything would help!

That leaf is on its way out. It’s something that happens eventually. Nothing to worry about unless other leaves start showing signs of distress. You can wait for it to yellow and pull off or trim at the base. I tend to leave mine since someone told me the plant absorbs nutrients from the dying leaf. No idea if that’s true or not!

Thank you so much! I figured as much, I’ll wait for it to make its final “breath” and let it organically do its thing.

I appreciate your response. Hoping for much more new growth. :)
