This is kind of a dumb question but when adding plants and it asks how big they are am I measuring from soil up like height or the width of it? This has really been bothering me lol

Haha I feel this. I’ve been doing it soil-up, and the height of the plant. So basically the length of the stems/leaves. But yeah I’m just guessing lol

I think personal preference, I like to measure soil up so I can measure growth thru the plant progress updates

Cool I guess I was also kind of wondering for potting reasons also

I’ve had the same struggle 😂 I measure soil up and if it’s more of a short plant that rounds or shrubs I measure width. Luckily with the new algorithm they added the size doesn’t matter as much anymore because if you skip a watering or water early it’ll ask why and help adjust the schedule.

I usually measure the soil up but with hanging plants I measure from the soil down to the end of the vine.
