I just got a beautiful hutch that I want to fill with plants, but don’t get much sunlight where it is placed. I have a multitude of grow lights because I have many succulents. Most inexpensive grow lights on Amazon will not be bright enough. And the ratings are based on that particular light for that particular person. And most have never tried a good grow light and do not realize how bright they need to be. With that said, for your situation, I would recommend Barrina brand. T5 I believe but they have several options. The mounting is simple. They are bright enough for most tropicals. In the pick are Barrinas mounted under shelf. But I have four strips for each section. Tropical plants, maybe two strips. Each of the two foot strips is 10 watts, so 40 watts for each shelf section. That gives you a wattage guide when shopping. For more concentrated lighting I use Sansi brand. I had to drill holes for the cords to go through the back. I’m much happier using this for my succulents than I was for dishes that were collecting dust. It’s not a great picture, but wanted you to see the idea that you could possibly use. I would love to see what you come up with!
