# Could someone please tell me what is happening to my plant it keeps…

Could someone please tell me what is happening to my plant it keeps getting worse and worse :(  
I can see some new leaves coming in, so I’m not sure if my plant is dying or not

I don’t know anything about this plant but it looks like this had dried out. It’s likely either under watered or requires much more humidity than you’re giving it.

Made a few Google searches.

This is an air plant but also gets potted a lot.

Air plants absorb most of their water from their leaves. The site I found said most 1-2times a week water 1-2 times a month. But spraying should be its main way of being hydrated.

It’s from Ecuador and I noticed the details for your plant is that the weather is super cold and the plant is 2ft from your window. It might be too close to the cold window as well.

all flowers die off eventually. if your bromeliad is still growing healthy new leaves it’s probably doing just fine

I thought bromeliads died after flowering?

pretty sure for most the main plant will die back but the pups will keep growing. i’m not too knowledgeable about them though so i could be wrong
