However, if you’ll notice inside the leaves, close to the stems, there are little green berries, which I have never seen before! I have to assume that even though she’s dropping leaves, which she has done in the past, she must be happy. These plants drop leaves for a few reasons typically. Roots staying wet too long or they get a cold draft or not enough light. I think you’re right about the change of seasons being the problem here. I have five different kinds of ficus, and all of them have dropped a substantial number of leaves in the past few weeks as the temperatures have dropped. TXS for helping me put my mind at ease!
