No benefit.  
Plant looks fine. It’ll get hole (fenestration) leaves with bright indirect light and time.

It will get rid of smaller leaves with time. Currently it’s still using them for photosynthesis

Two schools of thoughts on this.. I cut mine off so all of the plant’s energy goes to the bigger leaves which will eventually produce the new growth.. this is on the advice of Tanner the Planter

I’d leave them. Out will naturally shed them as it grows and it doesn’t need them anymore.
