Hi Everyone! My house is surrounded by large trees, so I don't get a lot of light through my windows. What are your recommendations for artificial lighting?

I use LBW tripod full spectrum lights for my shelf and DOMMIA hanging full spectrum for my cabinet

I have a 4ft Barrina standing grow light (T10). Could not recommend more, including brand. It was the tallest grow light I could find on Amazon, and I've attached it to my shelf uzing zip ties.

I've also plugged it into a digital outlet timer (not pictured) so it turns on at 7am and turns off at 8pm. Used to have a bluetooth outlet but when wifi was spotty it stopped working 🙄

Also, it's great at producing minimum heat from the bulbs. I was worried about attaching it to my wooden shelf, but I've felt the surrounding wood furniture and it's always room temp. The light itself gets warm, but no more than that!

I've only had this one light though so can't compare it to others :)

i highly recommend sansi or barrina lights depending on whether you’re looking for bulbs or strip lights. i wouldn’t recommend sol tech, the price is mostly hype. look for reviews online where people have measured the light output. sansi bulbs are $10-30 each and come with a warranty. they’re inexpensive to run and incredibly bright for the wattage; many of my plants sun stress beautifully under the lights when on for 10-12 hours. barrina lights are similar but a bit cheaper to start with since the package comes with everything to set them up. i had to purchase fixtures for my sansi bulbs, but you may have a lamp that will work well already.

i’ve also heard good things about general electric brand grow bulbs. i haven’t purchased any personally but this brand seems like a great budget choice from the research i did before purchasing lights for my plants

also, for future reference, there is an equipment \& materials group perfect for this type of discussion
