# I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what is going on…

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what is going on with this plant.

I am using the watering, fertilizing, and misting schedule provided by the Planta app and it has a grow light and humidifier but these burnt leaves keep happening.

What should I do?

whenever you mist you may want to move them to a darker place for a little while just in case they are burning from the light :)

I would stop misting but maybe once a week. Some plants don’t like the water from miss sitting on there leaves. I’ve actually stopped misting all together

Planta is rarely right on their watering schedule. I just use their suggestion as a reminder to check my plants. I only water when dry, not when planta says I should.  
And misting tends to be one of those wives tales. No need to mist. Humidity is all you need. I would say some of  
That browning is burn from misting and being under light. Some may be overwatering. If it was mine, I would check for root rot from overwatering

When you mist, make sure it is very lightly as they don’t like water sitting on their leaves. Also, if you have a humidifier running, you would not need to mist unless that is part your cleaning routine where you mist then wipe off. As for burns, they could come from direct light beaming down but typically grow light ms don’t get that heated. If the light is too close, you could move it further away. There are also fertilizer burns from too much fertilizer or if it is too concentrated. I only fertilize once every 1-2 months during spring and summer.

Hold off on misting. It may be after misting, the grow lights are causing it to burn.
