# Ok what do you guys think…my prayer plant was really leggy and it was…

_Posted by Amy B on 2025-05-03_

Ok what do you guys think…my prayer plant was really leggy and it was bothering me, so I chopped her down…and propagated her. This is how she started, this how she looks now. My propagations have roots, are the roots long enough to pot? Should i put them in with the mama plant or make little new pots?

She looks amazing! Great job on the chop and prop! If the roots are at least 1–2 inches long and look healthy (white and firm), they’re ready to pot. You can totally add them back in with the mama to fill her out more, or pot them separately if you want backups or a fuller collection!
