# Help! I gave my aunt one of my peace lily and she had gnats. I told…

Help! I gave my aunt one of my peace lily and she had gnats. I told her mix a table spoon of lavender and a qt. Of water to mist the plant and that might help BUT she actually drenched the plant in water and lavender and you can smell it in the dirt. Is there anything I can do to save her plant?? She is dropping so badly

I would take her outside to a warm but shaded spot, wash her and let her dry out some. Kinda how we wash out mineral build up… but definitely get some mosquito dunks or bits and treat your water with that on watering days. The gnats come from compacted overwatered soil

Why not take her out of soil completely? Wash the roots down and put her in a LECA setup, which is just washed clay balls in a pot in a water pot.
