# Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong with this orchid? I'm new to…

Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong with this orchid? I'm new to plant and orchid care. It's in bright indirect light all day and I water it according to the Planta schedule. It's still in the individual plastic cups with drainage. Everyday day the yellowing gets a little worse and I think it's starting on other leaves too.

That’s a sign of root rot. The moss these are sold in hold too much water,  
So you’ll need to repot with a chunkier mix, or water much less often. You’ll want the moss to nearly dry out each time.

I would also invest in a clear pot, you can check the roots easier that way, also it helps indicate when to water, (when the roots look silvery then it’s time to give it a water)
