# Hiya, I’m new to this app and indoor plants so hoping y’all can help…

Hiya, I’m new to this app and indoor plants so hoping y’all can help 🪴  
My bedroom has two windows, East and North facing, which is recommended for the plants I have (bright indirect). Sadly no sills to prop plants on so I plan on putting shelves under the windows. Although I’m wondering, can I have them in other parts of my room? How far from the windows is acceptable for partial sun plants? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks! 🌿

Depends on the plant! High light plants you’ll want as close to the window as you can. Medium light plants are happy 3-6 ft from the window and then anything further would need to be low light tolerant, like a snake plant.

I was also going to recommend a snake plant. A snake plant could probably go anywhere in your room if you leave the curtains open.
