# Calling all ficus/FLF lovers! I might have made a post about my Ficus…

Calling all ficus/FLF lovers! I might have made a post about my Ficus benghalensis "Audrey" not coming out of winter hibernation. After cutting back the very top (recommended for stunted ficuses) she started to push out a new stem!

Question is, if she's now growing toward the left, what should I do to balance her out so she's not leaning towards the side? I see online that notching isn't effective on young ficuses, but maybe I'm wrong? Are there any other techniques y'all have tried that were successful?

I have heard rotating the plant so it’s getting an even amount of sun all the way around. And I agree on waiting to notch when the plant is mature or has a wood like stem

Interesting. This first bud is growing toward the light. I've rotated the plant 180° and we'll see what happens. I doubt it but maybe it'll compensate by growing a second bud towards the light again
