# My ficus green island has been dropping leaves like crazy the last 3…

My ficus green island has been dropping leaves like crazy the last 3 weeks and the leaves aren't even browning at all before they drop. I only have like a few leaves left from when I first got it and it's trying to sprout new leaves but some of the sprouting stubs have browned and just died before even becoming leaves. I don't know what to do at this point because every day it's just a check-in to see if all the leaves have fallen off already. I know it's not a watering issue cause I follow instructions pretty closely for this and basically use my probe on it frequently to make sure it's perfect. I have it under a grow light for 12h a day and it doesn't rereceive any direct sunlight at all. Please if anyone has any clue on how to save my ficus I'm all ears!

Check for spider mites. My Meyer lemon dropped all of its leaves once and I saw small spider mites on the branches. I sprayed it with Neem weekly thereafter and it grew back and even fruited for me a year later!
