# Hello lovely plant friends! Meet my rubber plant Leo! So I got her…

Hello lovely plant friends!

Meet my rubber plant Leo!

So I got her about 2-ish months ago and I think she’s pretty settled in my home environment. I’m looking to get her some help to grow so I was thinking of cutting the top part off to encourage new growth. I also heard of making small incisions on the stem to help growth as well. Any thoughts or tips on helping this baby grow ?

Thanks! Happy Saturday! 🪴🪴

Check out this video! I just literally five minutes ago notched my first rubber tree. You really want to watch this first. She was so great at explaining the whole procedure. Definitely a new channel to subscribe to for me.

It won't let me put a link on here but it was called how to notch a ficus and it was by aloha plant store.

The plant isn’t mature enough to consider propagating just yet, IMO. The likely reason for slow growth is not enough light. I’d recommend moving it to a bright window or adding a grow light before doing and chopping or propping. Rubber trees can handle A LOT of light when properly acclimated.
