I just bought this huge Shell Ginger. $6!!!! It was 75% off because it's considered a summer plant. I love deals!! Anyway, does anyone else have one? I'm confused about the light requirements. I told the gentleman at the greenhouse that I had a rather dark corner and that was the only place it would fit. He said that they adjust well. However Planta told me it was too dark. 🤦🏼‍♀️

They are tropical plants that like heat, higher humidity levels and bright indirect sunlight. The ones in my area are garden plants that get morning and evening direct sunlight which brings out the variegations. They are partially shaded during midday. I’ve never seen them grown as indoor plants. I had them as large potted plants outdoors before a freeze killed them. You could try adding one or more grow lights and a humidifier.🪴🍀

You’re welcome! For $6 each I would bring home a dozen! They are typically $30 for a small one in my area. 😁
