# Wondering if anyone here has experience with growing a lightning…

_Posted by Virginia on 2026-08-31_

Wondering if anyone here has experience with growing a lightning orchid in a terrarium. From what I have read, these require significant humidity, but roots are susceptible to rot, and it has been mentioned that a terrarium can be a good way to control this if you’re home is low humidity. I can’t really do a humidifier. I’m new to the terrarium world, also. Any info or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Oh, that sounds awesome. My love orchids but that’s the one thing I can’t keep alive. If you do it pictures would be awesome.
