# I repotted my majestic palm a few weeks ago. I keep it in a room…

I repotted my majestic palm a few weeks ago. I keep it in a room where it gets sunlight in the morning, but I’m noticing a lot of the leaves are getting brown and looks like it’s drying out. I don’t know if I’m overwatering it. I don’t know what to do. I’ve been misting it every morning ?

Humidity could be the problem. I have one as well and the tips like to go brown. They are extremely difficult and dramatic inside as they are meant more so for outside. I usually put mine out from spring to summer time to get the heat and humidity and then bring it in fall to winter. Have you tried to mist it a few times a week or a humidifier? Could also be if it’s direct sun as that could scorch the leaves. Looks more like underwatered than overwater in my opinion. But again these dudes are picky and finicky indoors so don’t worry if you’re doing something wrong. 😊

Also. Give it some time too. Sometimes plants need longer than others to bounce back from transplant shock from repotting. 😊

Looks dry. They like to be moist, what kind of soil are you using? I have one and was going to repot in tropicalchunky soil. I'm an overwaterer though.

Okay. The same happened to my majestic palm a month ago. It had browning at the tips and I noticed that my soil was too dense and it had little to no drainage. I changed the soil to half perlite-half potting mix, cut all the dead/brown parts and constantly been misting/using humidifier every other day. Watering according to Planta schedule(been checking the soil too). Now it has put 2 new leaves and 2 more are on the way. It also just gets the indirect light from my window. It’s all about experimenting! 🥰

Also, from your picture, I’m noticing that the pot might be too big for the root ball? And make sure all of the soil is drenched in water(my English is bad). Then collect the water from the plate after 2-3 hours. Do not water until the top of the soil(about 2 inches deep) is dry.
