# Hello everyone 👩🏽‍🌾 I just moved to Austin a couple weeks ago and…

_Geplaatst door Danni \<3 op 2026-10-06_

Hello everyone 👩🏽‍🌾

I just moved to Austin a couple weeks ago and decided to start my garden era… I got these three plants from one of our local nurseries! In the blue pot is a Rangoon creeper, then a gold dust in the cream pot! And inside I have an aglaonema! Any tips on watering, fertilizing, would be greatly appreciated even learning how to train the vines onto my balcony. Or just whatever tips you have! I’d be open to answering any questions about where I have them place and what I’ve done so far. This is my first time ever owning plants so I hope I can figure it out!

Thanks y’all!

The easiest way is to follow Planta schedule at the beginning. Being careful not to overwater (so check that the soil is not soaked before watering).
Planta schedule is very good for starters.
I don’t have any specific advice regarding training vines other than to clip the vine to the fence and, if it starts growing and hanging, to clip it again. But I only did that in the past, when I live in a humid climate where plants would just root to the drywall. I’m not sure how to do it in Austin.
Lovely plants! Good luck!
