hi guys! this is my first alocasia, and im super excited to finally have one! i know they can be a bit finicky, but i feel like i am up for the challange. i am planning on repotting when i get home, as the soil seems less than ideal. this guy will be going in my bathroom, with my other humidity loving plants (i'll be sure to quarentine for a bit to watch for pests). ive done a fair bit of research, but if anyone has any good tips, please share!!

Alocasia’s are the problem child because one day they are fine and the next they be on death row. It seems like a healthy plant. I would refrain from repotting to stop from shock until it acclimates to your bathrooms environment. Unless the roots look like they may have rot root, just give it some time. You may also want to quarantine the plant until you’re sure it doesn’t have any bugs.

They really do just love to drop a leaf... or six. I'd definitely let it acclimate, for at least a week before you repot. And QT a must.

I'm currently having an experience with mine... apparently I didn't mist it enough/didn't run the humidifier enough because even tho I've kept it watered enough three of its four leaves are starting to get yellow...I will def have to be more diligent in the future...and that isn't exactly one of my strong points😂
