Hey plant community 👋  
I have been using this pesticide for maybe a few months now and I do see a change in the amount of fungas gnats but they aren’t completely gone. Does anyone know of a better pesticide or a way to buy this pesticide in bulk for less? It’s not super cheap and I run out of it somewhat quickly.

It’s completely eradicated mine. Perhaps you’re not using the specific amount per pot size bc you are hesitant to use as much since it costs more? I buy the bulk size and it’s much cheaper that way. It doesn’t specify on the front label for houseplant use like this one but it’s the exact same chemical strength so it’s technically the same thing ;). I also spray with insecticidal soap and neem oil after it’s dry too for a couple of treatments when I’ve noticed a pest in the past. Nothing since. All new plants get isolated and treated with all of that too. My mental health can’t handle all of my plants having pests so I am pretty rigorous with treating and preventing them. You do want to be sure to use appropriate PPE like gloves and mask when handling this and make sure any pets or kids don’t mess with your plant’s soil.

Thank you!! I saw the bulk one on Amazon but wasn’t sure about it since it didn’t say indoor use, but that’s very helpful :)) Thank you so much for sharing!

i love this stuff. amazon is the cheapest place i’ve found it. it works by leeching off into the soil which then the plant absorbs. it does kill on contact in the soil, but it takes a long time for the entire plant to absorb enough to kill a pest if it bites the plant. i’ve found it’s almost impossible to completely get rid of gnats, but this does work to get them to a controlled level you don’t see them as often, but again, that does take a while. i use a combination of the granules and neem oil and it seems to do the trick. granules in the pot and replenish every 6 weeks for me, spray neem oil once a week on all plants even if i don’t see active pests at the moment…i do it cause im paranoid😭
