This silver inch plant seems to break at a cross eyed look. Should I just not touch it at all?

They’re not supposed to look like this what so ever don’t touch it but mine is actually thriving still 🤣 idk how but she is still pooping out flowers from when I got her 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same! I touch mine all the time.
Prune it.
Propagate it.
It’s lush.

Thank you for mentioning this. I was checking mine out the other day and it broke off. I dipped in rooting powder and stuck it back into the plant. It seems to be doing ok

That’s exactly how you get a full pot! You can do that after watering and do it often because they love to be pruned 😁🪴

Mine breaks often! I normally propagate the pieces in water \& replant them after they root for a fuller plant.

I’m learning this, too! 🤣 Luckily, they propagate pretty easily. 😉

This is my inch plant jungle lol
I love them and they need to be pruned every time you water and if you see a crispy leaf that’s normal just pick it off. They grow fast so the more you prune the fuller it gets. Take cuttings from the bottom and stick them in the top and they will grow. I dip them in cinnamon and put them in a hole I make with a chopstick

the stems tend to break more easily if they are hanging. tradescantia naturally grow in a carpeting type pattern, like some grasses or english/irish ivy, so the stems aren’t built to handle the stress of long vines draped over the edge of the pot. pruning it back and propagating is best for the health of the plant in the long run since it’s potted and unable to crawl like it does instinctively

Thanks. I’m gonna help this sweet plant!
