Some things are more finicky but that's worked fine for me with most plants.

Yup, I don’t get much natural light so most of my plants only get light from grow lights and they’re doing great, including propagations

Absolutely. You can look online for guides about which specific wavelengths work best for props but honestly a good, broad-spectrum grow light will cover it effectively without turning your plants an ugly purple.

For context, I’ve been running propagation experiments for months now to compare different methods, and all are done in a naturally dark spot under a grow light. My Scindapsus, pothos, philodendron, peperomia, and string of pearls have all succeeded without natural light. I’ve only had one prop die so far and I highly doubt it was a lighting issue.
