Research toxicity if you have pets. Some easy safe plants are spider plants, Chinese money plant, parlor palm, ponytail palm, haworthia, baby rubber plant (peperomia obtusifolia), staghorn fern, birds nest fern. I love Calatheas but they can be a bit more temperamental as well orchids. Best of luck to you.
