Why is my money plant so bare? I have had it for over a year and even though it seems happy, the trunks are still very frail and it hasn’t filled out. Any suggestions/advice?

I would suggest chopping to the main stem and propagating the cuttings, and maybe more light🙃

Change the soil I see the soil now keep water too much, make water go through, stay away from the heat or higher than the heat, near the light, water every 2 weeks

I would touch the stems not growing as far down into the soil as you can to make sure it’s still firm. These braid sometimes choke themselves out because there may be a band somewhere below. The braiding itself can also eventually kill one of them stems.

I repotted it a couple months ago and realized there was a band around the trunks. I took it off but do you think it might be too late?

In that case, it may have just been too big of a pot for the plant. Pachiras have really shallow roots (2-3 inches deep) and like to dry thoroughly between watering so a larger pot makes them a tad harder to take care of (the water goes into the pot and down deep where the roots aren’t touching and will not be able to touch so the water stays down there and keeps the soil moist).
