_Posted by Vexed on 2025-02-14_

So started som black asiatic lilies late last year in the house for this year they were perfect til recently they are going down hill fast but also putting up new shoots. Is this normal? I planted 4 in the beginning 3 sprouted and now 2 are dying back but 3 more are sprouting. Should I be concerned

I don't think asiatic lilies do well in the house. It's probably just struggling through the winter trying to make it to spring when it can go outside and be happy. I think unless you over water and cause root rot it should be fine and come back when you put it outside in the warm Earth and Sun.

These do best outside and like to go dormant over the winter so they can start new in the spring. If you do put them in the ground (and depending on your zone) fertilize regularly and provide new soil every 2 years and they will be bigger and more grand each spring. 💚
