# does anyone have any care advice for this ginseng ficus? this picture…

does anyone have any care advice for this ginseng ficus? this picture is from december. a few months ago it lost a lot of leaves, but it seems to be doing better now. it’s also in a slightly bigger pot.

They like a lot of light. I use a dedicated grow light for 12 hours a day. They have a tendency to drop leaves suddenly if under stress like draft or a new environment or too much water. Great thing about them is if they drop their leaves they will grow back given more consistent conditions.

thank you! it’s been under a 12 hour grow light for the past few months and i think it’s doing better. how often should i water it though?

I have mine in shallow bonsai pot with bonsai medium so I need to water it often. I don’t know how often to water when in soil unfortunately so you will need to do more research I think.
