I want to know what type of plants to start off with. I’m new to this world. I want a plant that doesn’t require much maintenance.. HELP!

Thank you all. I didn’t expect to receive all of these responses but I love the pictures and advice on how to maintain good health of the flowers. My dad loves to plant flowers. I always joke about how he will be setting up my yard when I get a house. But I want to try myself first. And I think it will be a good thing to help grieve.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned Scindapsus. One of, if not the favorite of my plants. Incredibly easy, much like a Pothos. Thicker leaves than a Pothos. Leaves curl under when they need watered and bounce right back after you do. These photos are of the Exotica. Have silvery sparkle all over the leaves. Gorgeous plants!
