# I have a prayer plant that is always wilting! Any ideas how to bring…

I have a prayer plant that is always wilting! Any ideas how to bring it back to life ? I recently gave it a bottom watering to try to have it take the water it needs. I moved it closer to a north facing window thinking it needed the sun but the water and sun are making it wilt even more !

to be honest they’re apparently hard to care for like calatheas, but mines under a north facing sky light, so window in the roof, and it’s also in the bathroom and all i do is forget about it and water it when it fully dries, making sure it’s not dry for too long and it’s growing really long and bushy, so i would say maybe a place a little lighter than a north window, maybe more humid area too?

I’ve only got a baby maranta but,  
Mine tends to “wilt” during the day and “pray” during night which I believe is normal.

I water mine with distilled water whenever the first 1-2 inches (25%) of the soil is dry and bottom water

Mines in a sun room with south facing windows at around 65-75°F

The only thing I’m unsure with for mine is humidity,

Prayer plants also don’t like any kind of draft

I agree with this commenter! I water mine when it’s 25-50% dry, I do too water and fertilize with worm casting every two waters or so. In bright indirect light. They are super fun plants but take me a bit to figure it out, I actually got a bloom this way and has been popping out 2-3 new leafs every two weeks or so!

Im not sure about the humidity either. Although with my experience with it don’t think they require much humidity?!? mine is in my living room just 3 feet away from my window ac and is just as happy as before the ac unit went it.

I hope this helps a bit!
