# Please help with my Pinky! She’s leggy, with only small, wrinkly…

Please help with my Pinky! She’s leggy, with only small, wrinkly leaves coming through. I water her when she feels light, have never had problems with white fungus on the soil. She’s under a grow light that’s from We the Wild (Aus company) and I can’t find the specs for it.

Just a guess but I feel like your grow light is too far from the top of her leaves. I’d put one maximum 12 inches away. 😊

Grow light needs to be closer. And with wrinkled new growth, I would suggest checking the root health, especially near the stem. Unfortunately wethewild does not have a very good grow light. I saw one several weeks ago. It’s on a metal stake that goes into the pot. If yours is the same. The light is not very bright. It’s fine for supplemental light but cannot be your plants only source.

I just got “too far from the grow light” as a diagnosis for my prayer plant from the AI today. I thought it was fine to put several plants under my grow light, especially since some of them were burned when I had it too close.. this is what AI said was too far. I moved the prayer plant closer after it said that.

Thank you all!! With that consensus, I’ll move the light closer. Phil, it is indeed a grow light on a metal stake. I’ll treat these as supplemental and try to find a brighter spot for her 💚
